I thought my life was sorted. I was in a career I loved and could never in a million years did I think I would have to give it up. I can remember watching James Herriot on television when I was about five years old and since then I had wanted to be a vet. I eventually landed a trainee job when I was 18 and loved it. Four years later I was qualified and working in referrals. I worked my way up to Head of theatre and with the increasing work load and responsibility came the stress.
